Rex Kevin Dabbelt, age 65 of Hamilton, passed away at University of Cincinnati Hospital on Friday, March 2, 2018. He was born in Hamilton on May 4, 1952 to Louis F. and Marion (Cook) Dabbelt. Rex was a great lover of the outdoors, the music scene, had a host of friends, and was extremely well liked. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed his annual fishing trips, and had a soft spot for dogs and animals.
Rex is survived by his fiancée, Teresa Rivers of Hamilton; one brother Louis (Paula) Dabbelt of Mason; one nephew, Jacob Dabbelt of Jeffersonville, Indiana; the Prather family; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Dabbelt; mother, Marion Connelly; and spouse, Cyndy (Connaughton) Dabbelt.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St Julie Billiart Catholic Church, 224 Dayton St, on Friday, March 9, 2018 at 10:00 AM with Fr. Rob Muhlenkamp, Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Stephens Cemetery. A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue.
