Richard Harold Anglin, age 64 of McKee, Kentucky, formerly of Hamilton, passed away at VA Hospital of Dayton on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at 8:33 AM. He was born in Asheville, North Carolina on November 8, 1945 the son of Alvin C. and Minnie Bell (Coates) Anglin. Richard was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era from 1966 to 1968. He was the owner/operator of Anglin Auto Body for 27 years, retiring in 2005. On March 27, 1993 in Gatlinburg, Tennessee he married Lavina E. Perry.
He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Lavina E. Anglin of McKee, Kentucky, formerly of Hamilton; three children, Richard A. (Tricia) Anglin of Hamilton, Tiffani Anglin of College Corner, Ohio, and David (Jamie) Anglin of Trenton; two stepdaughters, Lisa (Keith) Fugate of Indian Springs and Christina (David) Speers of Franklin; nine grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two beloved Yorkies, Sassy and Kaylee. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Rueben Harris; and a sister, Elizabeth Laws.
Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Larry Timmerman officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
