Richard P. Blakley, age 78 of Hamilton passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 4:15 AM. He was born in Hamilton on September 29, 1934 the son of Arthur and Juanita (Jones) Blakley. Richard attended Ohio State University and received a Master’s Degree in engineering from Miami University. On July 2, 1965 in Hamilton, he married Jeann Ratliff.
He is survived by his wife, Jeann Blakley of Hamilton; a stepson, Kevin Ratliff of Hamilton; a sister, Jacquelin of Florida; sister-in-law, Patricia of Washington; nieces Kim and Jeanne; and nephews Douglas, Dale, Jeffrey and David. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Gerald Blakley; and dogs Snooper, Lady, Merry, Beauty, Princess, Pip and Jill.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
