Richard C. "Dick" Brandenburg

Richard C. "Dick" Brandenburg, age 83, of Hamilton, passed away at home on Wednesday, December 4, 2013. He was born in Hamilton on September 24, 1930, to Clyde and Vivian (Black) Brandenburg. He married Joyce Ann Davish on March 29, 1951, in Liberty, IN. Richard retired from ARMCO Coke Plant in 1983.

He is survived by his children, Michael Brandenburg, Rick Brandenburg, Sue Sebastian, Kevin (Cathy) Brandenburg, and Jon (Jenny) Brandenburg; grandchildren, Melissa, Jenifer, Nickolas, Kristina, Brandi, Joshua, Shana, Matt, Ashley, Jon, Shaun and Nathan; 10 great grandchildren; special niece, Diane (Richard) Hinkel; and special friend, Kenny McNabb. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Ann Brandenburg; daughter in law, Brenda Brandenburg; sister, Delores Downey; brother, Don Brandenburg; special aunt, Mae Black; and his parents. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Hospice of Cincinnati for their care and compassion.

Visitation will be 6-8pm, Friday, December 6, 2013, at the Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue. Funeral service will be 9:30am Saturday, December 7, 2013, also at the funeral home on Pershing Avenue, with Rev. Neil Gabbard officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Flat Cemetery.
