Richard Allen "Dick" Davish

Richard Allen "Dick" Davish, age 66 of Hamilton passed away at Mercy Hospital of Fairfield on Sunday, February 21, 2010 at 12:15 AM. He was born in Hamilton on August 26, 1943 the son of Harry Luther Jr. and Ethel Elizabeth (Jones) Davish. Dick was employed as a heavy equipment operator for the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 18. He married Sandra Sue Betz on May 5, 1964 in Oxford.

He is survived by his wife, Sandy Davish of Hamilton; a son, Timothy Davish of Trenton; a daughter, Stephanie Davish Wyman of Battle Creek, Michigan; four grandchildren, Jacob Davish, Casey Davish, Tyler Wyman, and Jeffrey Wyman; a sister, Carol (Donald) Coulter of Temple, Texas; his father-in-law Kenneth Betz Sr. and his wife Beulah Betz of Oxford; a brother-in-law, Kenneth (Phyllis) Betz Jr. of Oxford; his beloved animal companions Smokey, Abby, and Lucky; and several nephews, a niece and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, February 26, 2010 at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Darrtown Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Animal Friends Humane Society, 1820 Princeton Road, Hamilton 45011.
