Richard W. "Dick" Donges

Richard W. "Dick" Donges, age 83 of Hamilton, passed away at Westover Retirement Community on Wednesday, March 25, 2015. He was born in Hamilton on September 5, 1931 to Delmar and Catherine (Burbrink) Donges. On September 7, 1957 in Hamilton he married Marlene Flum, who preceded him in death in 2002. Dick was a member of the UFCW local 1099 and the Knights of Columbus Lodge #968.

He is survived by his son, Michael (Teresa) Donges; daughter, Connie (Robert) Teeguarden; 8 grandchildren; Trista, Tony, Robert, Joe, Stephen, Elaine, Adam and Tyler; 24 great grandchildren; a sister, Pat Wiley; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Flum and Caroline Flum; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marlene Donges; an infant daughter; brother, Robert Donges; sister, Betty Finn; and his parents.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church, 382 Liberty Avenue, on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 10:30 AM with Fr. Patrick McMullen celebrant. Entombment will follow at St. Stephens Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 30, 2015 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society or to Hospice of Cincinnati in his honor.
