Richard E. Hixson

Richard E. Hixson, age 82 of Hamilton, passed away at University Hospital on Thursday, January 4, 2018. He was born in Hamilton on December 5, 1935 the son of Donald and Mary (Hooten) Hixson. Dick retired from the United States Military after twenty-one years of service. After his retirement he returned from Germany and was employed by Hamilton Tool and the City of Hamilton for numerous years. On December 7, 1979 in Hamilton he married Marion Braun. Dick was a lifetime member of AmVets Post 1983; a proud Kentucky Colonel; and a Mason.

He is survived by his wife, Marion Hixson; one daughter, Nicole (Mike) Ingram; three siblings, Connie (Casey) Allen, Donald Hixson Jr., and Mary Lou (Donald) Scarcella; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Ethel Joyce.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Monday, January 8, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
