Richard Dean "Rich" Rogers

Richard Dean "Rich" Rogers, age 63 of Hamilton passed away at Ft. Hamilton Hospital on Sunday, June 6, 2010 at 9:46 PM. He was born in Hamilton on June 18, 1946 the son of Eugene and Thelma (Campbell) Rogers. Rich was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Viet Nam Era from 1964 to 1968. He was a self-employed machinist and a member of VFW Post #7670. On July 30, 1989 in Hamilton he married Sandy Seals.

He is survived by his wife, Sandy Rogers of Hamilton; three daughters, Melissa (Tom) Lovins of Hamilton, Samantha (Eric) Welty of Sunman, Indiana, and Kelly (Paul) Jackson of Hamilton; four children by marriage, Lisa (Rob) Jones of Trenton, Mindy (Jason) Monahan, Kevin (Carmen) Seals, and Brian Seals, all of Hamilton; his mother, Thelma Rogers of Hamilton; two brothers, Mike Rogers and Justin Rogers, both of Hamilton; five sisters, Eugenia Lynn (Jimmy) Harmon, Gloria (Harry) Kellum, both of Hamilton, Sandra (Bob) Pierce of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky, Julie (Gary) Smith and Lisa Cain, both of Hamilton; 17 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father; and in-laws Steve and Ruth Gill.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
