Richard Alan Root

Richard Alan Root, age 38 of Hamilton, passed away from this life as a result of an automobile accident on Friday, December 14, 2007. He was born in Hamilton on January 17, 1969 the son of Clyde and Ethel (Boggs) Root. He was a 1987 graduate of Hamilton High School. Rick, a beloved son, brother, and friend touched everyone he met with his "no frills" approach to life and caring. His life revolved around his personal relationships with His Lord, his family, and a close knit group of devoted friends. Rick was employed as a computer technician at Alternative Resource for several years. Through the years, Rick enjoyed attending church, working on computers, taking care of animals and doing yard work with precision and grace. He also delighted in spending Sunday afternoons with his sister Becki while instructing her on the greatness of Pink Floyd and firepits. Rick believed that his life was led by the Lord and he lived surrounded by the prayers and love of many.

He is survived by his parents, Clyde and Ethel Root of Hamilton; sister, Rebecca Root of Fairfield; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held at Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Thursday, December 20, 2007 at 7:00 PM with Pastors Gary and Cheryel Tarter of Eagle’s Wings Praise and Worship Center officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5:00 PM until time of the service. Committal service will be held Friday at 10:00 AM at the Rose Hill Burial Park Chapel.
