Robert J. Bachmann, age 93 of Hamilton, passed away at Westover Retirement Community on Friday, November 23, 2018. Bob was born in Hamilton, Ohio on September 9, 1925 to Otto and Catherine (Wohrmeyer) Bachmann. He was a Fire Fighter for the City of Hamilton for 30 years achieving the rank of Captain. Bob enjoyed golfing, gardening, and spending time with his family.
Bob is survived by his wife of 72 years, Eileen Bachmann; his children, Robert E. (Patricia) Bachmann and Donald (Janet) Bachmann; his grandchildren, Amy Strawser and Jeff Bachmann; his great grandchildren, Sam, Michael, Addison, Nathan, Nicholas, and Lauren. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church, 224 Dayton St., Hamilton, Ohio on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at 10:00 AM with Fr. Rob Muhlenkamp officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home 1350 Millville Ave. Hamilton, OH 45013.
