Robert L. Braun

Robert L. Braun, age 89 of Hamilton, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2008 at Hospice of Cincinnati. He was born in Hamilton on April 23, 1919, the son of the late Charlie and Martha (Reiff) Braun. Robert was employed as a design engineer with the Hamilton Fixture Company for over 25 years. Upon his retirement, Robert remained active as a member of the Grace United Methodist Church of Hamilton, where he was a lifelong member; he also enjoyed working on home projects, as he was gifted with mechanical abilities and artistic talent. He was an accomplished musician and enjoyed playing the saxophone as well as the organ. Robert belonged to several clubs during his lifetime. He was also a U.S. Army veteran who served during WWII.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of over 58 years, Bettie M. (Allen) Braun; several nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and many friends who had the good fortune to enjoy the wonderful sense of humor Robert shared with others all his life.

Funeral services will be delivered by Dr. Robert Ingram at Grace United Methodist Church, 1200 Main Street, Hamilton, on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at 12:00 noon. Visitation will precede the services at 11:00 AM, followed by burial at Rose Hill Burial Park. Memorial donations may be made in Robert’s name to the Grace United Methodist Church.
