Robert Lee Carberry

Robert Lee Carberry, age 75 of Hamilton, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Wednesday, December 26, 2018. Bob was born in Hamilton, Ohio on June 11, 1943 to William and Ruby Carberry. On March 1, 1969 he married Margaret Isaacs, who preceded him in death after 40 years of marriage. Bob served in the US Navy. He worked at AK Steel of Middletown. Bob was a member of New Miami Fire Department, retiring as Fire Chief. Bob was a lifetime member of the AmVets.

Bob is survived by his children, Beverly (the late Ronald) Riley, Cathy Clay, Pamela (Jay) Sandlin, Rodney Withrow, and Steve (Rebecca) Stigall; his grandchildren, Keli, Dustin (Kristine), Steven (Tara), Nick, Ashley, Emily, Ben (Kelli), Sarah (Tyler), Ashley, Amber, Elizabeth and Desiree; his great grandchildren, Maximus, Zoe, Ike, Alexa, Mikaela, Jackson, Tayley, Kynedy, MaKenzie, Becca, Travis, Callie, Connor, Aleah, Ryker, Liam, Ava, and two on the way; his siblings, Kenny (Donna), Tony (Kim), Nancy, Sue and Lois (Ron); and many other loving family members and friends. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Margaret Carberry; his sons, David Carberry and Terry Stigall; his son in law, Ronald Riley; his siblings, David, George, Paul and Joy; and his brother in law, Jerry Mitchum.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave., Hamilton, Ohio, on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at 12:00 PM with Rev. Charlie Clay officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home.
