Robert Charles Claypool

Robert Charles Claypool, age 64 of Hamilton passed away at Mercy Hospital of Mt. Airy on Thursday, May 21, 2009 at 7:22 PM. He was born in Springfield, Illinois on November 17, 1944 the son of Robert Charles and Ann (Fiorucci) Claypool. Robert was employed as the Superintendent of Utilities with Champion International Paper’s, retiring in 2001. On January 11, 1969 in Galatia, Illinois he married Deanna Wallace.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Deanna Claypool of Hamilton; his mother, Ann Robb of Riverton, Illinois; a son, Robert Claypool III of Delhi, Ohio; two daughters, Kathryn (Jason) Walters of Loveland, Ohio and Erin Claypool of Hamilton; eight grandchildren; a brother, David (Alicia) Claypool of Des Moines, Iowa; three sisters, Donna (Mike) Holinga of Dawson, Illinois, Brenda Kelley of Riverton, Illinois, and Janet Robb of Washington D.C.; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Claypool and step-father, Robert Robb.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at 6:00 PM. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Cremation will be held. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be directed to the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, P.O. Box 643270, Cincinnati, Ohio 45264-3270 or to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International, Greater Cincinnati Chapter, 8041 Hosbrook Road, Suite 422, Cincinnati, Ohio 45236.
