Robert (Desi) James Desjardin, age 68 of Hamilton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Desi was born in Hartford, Connecticut on August 1, 1957 to Renis (Tibby) Desjardin and Doris (Caron) Desjardin. He grew up in Enfield, CT, graduating from Enrico Fermi High School and resided in Hamilton, OH since 2003. For over 30 years, he was an independent contractor with the most recent job working for Rose Automotive where he helped transport new inventory for the dealership.
From an early age, Desi’s passion for sports was undeniable. He played football throughout his high school days and for many years played A1 softball for several town teams. An unforgettable experience for him was when he played baseball for the Hazardville Senior Little League All-Stars team. In 1973, the team went on to win the State of CT championship in their division. In 2010, an additional honor was presented to the team when they were inducted into the Enfield Athletic Hall of Fame.
Always a kid at heart, Desi was known for his big smile, deep dimples, and his infectious laugh. He enjoyed making people laugh, especially playing out skits from two of his favorite TV shows, the comedy troupe The Three Stooges and Saturday Night Live. He adored his fur babies, all black labs, that he loved to spoil. He enjoyed family gatherings, cooking/grilling and surprising you with his special culinary touches. He treasured those moments and kept those memories close to his heart.
Desi is survived by his long-time love and fiancé, Stacie Couto, of Hamilton, OH. In addition to his loving fiancé, Desi is survived by his daughter, Michelle Arcouette and her husband, Jason of Enfield, CT, his former spouse and Michelle’s mother, Carol Jones and her husband Donald of Vernon CT, his grandchildren, Tyler and Brenden Arcouette of Enfield, CT, his sister, Dot Desjardin of Loganville, GA, his brother, Timothy Desjardin and his daughter, Emily Desjardin of Enfield, CT and many cousins and friends.
