Robert Lee Gill

Robert Lee Gill, age 77 of Hamilton passed away at his residence on Thursday, August 21, 2008 at 11:49 AM. He was born in Somerville on November 12, 1930 the son of Lee and Hettie (Foster) Gill. Robert was employed in mobile maintenance at Champion Paper. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and loved his family. Robert was a member of Hamilton Dream Center. On July 1, 1950 in Hamilton he married Leora Esther Crawford, and she preceded him in death on March 20, 2008.

He is survived by two sons, Steven Gill and Brad Gill, both of Hamilton; three grandchildren, Jacob Gill, Nathan (Monica) Gill, and Chancelor Gill; two great-grandchildren, David and Haley Gill; a brother Carl Marcellus of New Port Richey, Florida; two sisters, Eileen Thompson of St. Cloud, Florida and Leona Thompson of Johnson City, Tennessee; two sisters-in-law, Jean (Bruce) McKillican and Felda Diesh, both of Hamilton; a good friend, Joe Borne of Hamilton; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother and sister-in-law, Arnold and Mildred Gill.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Monday, August 25, 2008 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Wendell Coning, Pastor of Hamilton Dream Center officiating. Burial will follow in Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
