Robert Eugene Hawkins Jr., age 44 of Hamilton passed away at Mercy Hospital Fairfield on Friday, February 11, 2011 at 6:54 AM. He was born in Hamilton on August 27, 1966 the son of Robert Eugene Sr. and Susan (Singleton) Hawkins. Robert enjoyed doing volunteer work at Mercy Hospital.
He is survived by his father, Robert Eugene Hawkins Sr. of Hamilton; two sisters, Jennifer Hawkins and Jennifer Holland, both of Monroe; an aunt, Penny (Richard) McHenry of Hamilton; and two uncles, Jack (Orliene) Singleton of Elijay, Georgia and Sam Roberts of Brookville, Indiana, and his children Mary and Jerry. He was preceded in death by his mother, Susan Hawkins.
Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Monday, February 14, 2011 at 10:00 AM with Chaplain Lynda Savelli officiating. Burial will follow in Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
