Robert Joe Humbert, age 87 of Hamilton passed away at Ft. Hamilton Hospital on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 5:30 PM. He was born in Stonega, Virginia on January 9, 1924 the son of Allen Lester and Lina (Maggard) Humbert. Robert was employed as a stock checker at Ford Motor Company and was a member of Pentecostal Highway of Holiness. On January 31, 1951 in Harlan, Kentucky he married Imogene Gabbard McQueen.
He is survived by his wife, Imogene Humbert of Hamilton; two daughters, Janet Jo (Dennis) Singer of Fairfield and Deborah Kay (Herman) Croucher of Frankfort; five grandchildren, Bobbi (Aaron) Crary of Greenhills, Rebecca Singer, Robert Singer, both of Fairfield, Heather (Kris) Butler of South Carolina, and Joshua (Katie) Croucher of Sabina, Ohio; and four great-grandchildren, Aiden Crary, Logan Butler, Chloe Butler, and Taylor Butler. He was preceded in death by his parents; seven sisters, Pauline Barnes, Opal Kennedy, Bonnie Breeden, Elizabeth Sorkey, Edna Bryant, Barbara Humbert, and Geneva Morgan; and three brothers, Harold, Kenneth, and Clyde Humbert.
Funeral services are private at the family’s convenience. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Arif for all his loving care and support.
