Robert "Bob" Hurley

Robert "Bob" Hurley, age 59 of West College Corner, Indiana passed away at his residence on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 10:25 AM, surrounded by his family and friends. He was born in Hamilton on February 9, 1952 the son of Thomas J. and Hazel (Marcum) Hurley. Bob attended Hamilton City Schools and was a graduate of Garfield High School. He was employed at Miami University for numerous years until he became ill in 2009. Bob loved to play pool, cards, volleyball, baseball, and most important was his family.

He is survived by three children, James Hurley of Trenton, and Angel and Angela Hurley, both of Liberty, Indiana; four grandchildren, Taylor Minter, Austin Hurley, Kyane Alcorn, an Haleigh Buttery; four brothers, Alfred Lee of Arizona, Pearl (Dema) Lee, Herman Lee, and Eugene (Pam) Hurley, all of Hamilton; three sisters, Stella (James) Evans, Lizzie (Mike) Hubbard, and Ruth (Delmar) Whitesell, all of Hamilton; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Gary and Susan Chaney, Tim Herbert, Ken Crowder, and Jeff. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Earl "Pete" Lee.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
