Robert J. Leugers, age 89 of Hamilton passed away at Ft. Hamilton Hospital on Tuesday, February 14, 2012. He was born in Hamilton on March 10, 1922 the son of Edward and Marie (Mengelkamp) Leugers. Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during WWII. He was employed as a general foreman at Fisher Body for 35 years.
He is survived by his wife, Edna (Rasnick) Leugers; children, Robert J. (Dalene) Leugers Jr., Richard D. (Donna) Leugers, Stephen L. Leugers, David "Casey" (Connie) Leugers, Donna J. (Melvin) McFadden, and Glenna M. Duncan; daughter in law, Kathy Leugers; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; 5 siblings; son, William E. Leugers; and 4 grandchildren.
Visitation will be 10am until time of service (12noon), Saturday, February 18, 2012 at the Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue. Burial will follow in St. Stephen’s Cemetery.
