Robert W. "Wes" Lovell

Robert W. "Wes" Lovell, age 51 of Hamilton passed away at his home on Tuesday, February 12, 2008. He was born in Hamilton on March 31, 1956 the son of Donald Eugene and Doris R. (Joyce) Lovell. Wes, an auto enthusiast and expert mechanic, was an avid NASCAR fan who enjoyed guns and was an animal lover. On December 17, 1999 in Hamilton he married Joy C. Marcum. He is survived by his wife, Joy C. Lovell of Hamilton; a daughter, Jessica (John) Jenkins of Brunswick, Georgia; his mother and father, Doris and Rev Cole of Hamilton; two stepdaughters, Holly (Brad) Combs and Elisa (Junior) Rutherford, both of Hamilton; two sisters, Kathy (Scott) Ruhlman of Hamilton and Laura (Sterling) Bellman of Dayton; two brothers, Steve Cole of Charlotte, North Carolina and Clint (Erika) Cole of Hamilton; six grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald E. "Gene" Lovell. Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, February 16, 2008 at 12:00 noon with Rev. Edwin Beck officiating. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Animal Friends Humane Society, 5225 Trenton Road, Trenton 45067.
