Robert Maher, age 83 of Hamilton, passed away at Fort Hamilton Hospital on Sunday, September 18, 2016. Robertwas born in Fayettville, Ohio on February 5, 1933 to Robert W. and Florence (Minzler) Maher. Bob enjoyed woodworking. He retired from Diebold Safe Co. after 40 years. Bob served his country in the US Navy from 1952-1956.
Robert is survived by his siblings, Virginia Duggins and Viola Brockman; numerous nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his sister, Ursula Knox; and his parents. The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Fort Hamilton Hospital, Butler County Care Facility, and Dr. Chetna Mital.
Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave., Hamilton, Ohio, on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
