Robert George Maupin

Robert George Maupin, age 71 of Hamilton passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Friday, April 24, 2009 at 7:33 AM. He was born in Hamilton on August 17, 1937 the son of Dabner and Bernice (Ryan) Maupin. Robert was employed in shipping/receiving at Champion International. On November 9, 1990 in Hamilton he married Helen Roberts.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Maupin of Hamilton; three sons, James Michael Maupin, Franklin (Linda) Back Jr. of West Chester, and Gary Wayne (Angie) Back of Monroe; a daughter, Debra (David) Johnson of Hamilton; two sisters, Pat Fitzwater of Hamilton and Doris Gentry of Indianapolis, Indiana; 4 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Jacob Flannery officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
