Robert H. Moran

Robert H. Moran, age 84 of Hamilton passed away at Golden Years Nursing Center on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at 12:58 AM. He was born in Connersville, Indiana on July 3, 1927 the son of Edward and Annetta (Fink) Moran. Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Merchant Marines during World War II from 1945 to 1946 and was employed as a master pipefitter for Local #392, retiring in 1989. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus #968. On June 12, 1948 in Hamilton he married Mary Lou Mick. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou; his parents; two brothers, Joseph Moran and Francis H. Moran; a sister, Esther Stant; and a grandson, Michael Truster.

He is survived by two sons, Robert E. (Mary) Moran and Joseph H. (Holly) Moran; three daughters, Jeanne (David) Kolb, Anne (Larry) Lake, and Patty (Jim) Truster; 15 grandchildren, Yvette (Jason) Scott, Mandy Kolb, Angie Kuntz, David (Brittany) Kolb, Chris (Shawna) Lake, Elizabeth Lake, Bobby Moran, Brittany Moran, Brooke Moran, Tim Truster, Joe (Liz) Moran, Josh Moran, Jake Moran, Jonathan Moran, and Annarose Moran; 12 great-grandchildren, Alena, Alivia, Alysse and Trace Scott, Claire Kuntz, Mason, Payton, and Kennedy Kolb, Carter and Natalie Lake, and Joseph and George Moran; and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 171 Washington Street, on Friday, December 23, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow in St. Stephen’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Golden Years Nursing Center. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati.
