Robert W. "Lefty" Pawlowsky, age 92 of Hamilton passed away in Mercy Franciscan at Schroder on Tuesday October 30, 2007 at 3:00AM. He was born in Hamilton on April 23, 1915 the son of Rudolph and Katheryn (Eisemann) Pawlowsky. Lefty was a member of the K of C #968, was an avid baseball player pitching for various softball and hardball leagues in Hamilton and Butler County and was inducted into the Butler County Softball Hall of Fame in 1984. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was employed as a supervisor for Champion International for 41 years retiring in 1978. On October 30, 1937 in Hamilton he was married to Carolyn Schmitt and she preceded him in death in 1976, on December 16, 1977 in Hamilton he was married to Phyllis Kelley.
He is survived by his wife Phyllis Pawlowsky of Hamilton, one son Robert Pawlowsky of Ft. Lauderdale Florida, one daughter Linda (Leslie) Goins of Millville, three grandchildren Kimberly (Randy) Smith, Scott Huff, Greg Huff, and two great-grandchildren Spencer Smith and Danny Huff. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Louis Pawlowsky and two sisters Marian Romans and Lorraine Helton.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Mercy Franciscan at Schroder on Saturday November 3, 2007 at 10:30AM with Fr. Patrick Duffy celebrant. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the Brown Dawson Funeral Home 1350 Millville Ave. on Friday from 5PM-8PM. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to Hospice of Cincinnati or Schroder Benevolent Fund.
