Rodney Wagster

Rodney Wagster, age 42 of Hamilton passed away at Fort Hamilton Hospital on Saturday, September 25, 2010. He was born in Hamilton on June 8, 1968 the son of Tony and Beverly (Miller) Wagster. Rodney attended Hamilton City Schools. He was known for his big smile, laughter, compassion for life and his family was remarkable to him. Rodney lived every day to the fullest and never took anything for granted. Through all that happened to him he never had any regrets. His smile will always shine bright within our hearts. Rodney’s destiny now is to be greeted by the lord, his mother, niece, and grandparents.

He is survived by his sister Carla (Luis Fernando) Velazquez-Medina; a brother, Tony (fiancée Laura Bales) Wagster; two nephews, Robert (Erin) Kirby, and Joshua Wagster; three nieces, Kayla, Lendsie, and Amanda Wagster, ; four great-nephews, Jordon and Jackson Wagster, Robby III and Noah Kirby; a niece, Nevaeh Kirby; two uncles, Gary (Cheryl) Miller, and Wayne (Karen) Miller, all of Hamilton; three aunts, Diana (George) Click of St. Leon, Texas, Toni Vickers, and Taresa Miller, all of Hamilton; seven cousins; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Carl and Mary Miller; and a niece, Leah Marie Morris. At the time of Rodney’s passing his sister Carla was caring for him. She did it with such love and tenderness, never putting herself and never having any regrets. She cared for him with her heart and soul and the strength God had given her. When he would laugh, she would laugh. If he was hurting she would take away his pain, and when he would cry she would tenderly wipe away his tears. He always said "thank you sister for all you have done, you can rest now I’m at peace."

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Drew Wilkerson of the First Church of God of Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
