Roland "R.K." Barger

Roland "R.K." Barger, age 82 of Hamilton, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2017. Roland was born in Leatherwood, Kentucky on June 16, 1935. He served in the Army from ’57-’59. On June 16, 1957, Roland married the love of his life, Janet Young. Roland retired from Chrysler after 20 years of service. He was a member of Fairfield Church of Christ. Roland was an excellent bowler, wining many tournaments and loved to golf, as well. Roland loved to work with wood.

Roland is survived by his wife of 60 years, Janet Barger; his daughter, Melinda Barger; his grandson, Ian Barger; his brothers, Hoover (Maxine) and Milford Barger; his sister in laws, LuAnn Farmer, Mamie Lewis, and Rosalie (Jack) Beaudoin; a dear neighbor, Diana; many loving nieces and nephews; and two special great nieces, Mariah and Taylor. Roland was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth and her husband, Seymore Noble; his father, Algan Barger; his sister, Edith Phillips; his brothers, Glen and Rodney Barger; and his in laws, Lovis and Joe Young.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio, on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Fairfield Church of Christ, 745 Symmes Rd, Fairfield, OH.
