Roliegh Flynn, age 92, passed away at his daughter’s home in Fairfield Township on Wednesday, October 3, 2007. He was born in Estill County, Kentucky on April 22, 1915, the son of John Allen and Nannie (Lamb) Flynn. Roliegh, a 63-year resident of Fairfield Township, enjoyed gardening, fishing and his church. He retired from Horn Lumber Company and was a member of Tylersville Road Church of God for many years. On June 17, 1936 in Kentucky he married Minnie Barker and she preceded him in death on August 2, 1976.
He is survived by a son, Bill (Lee) Flynn of Franklin, Ohio; two daughters, Sherrill (Louis) Campbell of Fairfield and Glenna (Leland) Littrell of Fairfield Township; one sister, Clyda Crank of Melbourne, Florida; six grandchildren, Bill J. Flynn, Debbie (Richard) Vey, Kevin (Cathy) Suffridge, Louie (Kim) Campbell III, Shawn Campbell and Ken Littrell; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Bessie Daniels and Oda Young; and a half-brother, Clay Flynn.
Funeral service will be held at the Tylersville Road Church of God, 2753 Tylersville Road, on Monday, October 8, 2007 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Damon Dixon and Rev. Richard Salyer officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Sunday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati. Roliegh’s family extends a special thank you to Hospice of Cincinnati, nurse Sue, and aide Karrie for their help and support.
