Ronald Eversole

June 29, 1931 — May 7, 2017

Ronald Eversole, age 85 of Hamilton, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 7th, 2017 at his home where he lived with his daughter and son-in-law, Jeff and Brenda Helton. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on June 29th, 1931. The oldest son of General and Anna (Combs) Eversole. He received his education in Jackson County, Kentucky. He served in the United States Air Force from 1951-1955 in the crash and rescue division. On December 14, 1963, he married Shirley Joan Hornsby in Liberty, Indiana and together they celebrated 45 years of marriage before she went to her Heavenly home on May 3rd, 2009.

They attended the Landmark Baptist Temple where together as young parents, they accepted Christ as their Savior and were baptized together. They served the Lord together driving a church bus and going on visitation with their children. In later years, they attended Grace Baptist Church of Middletown where he continued in the bus ministry and she in the nursery ministry. Later, they also attended Tri-County Baptist Church until Shirley’s illness and passing and Ronald began attending Timberhill Baptist Church with his daughter’s and their families.

Ronald was a Godly, loving Father and along with his wife raised their family to know Christ and love and serve Him. Ronald was employed by General Motors and retired in 1989. In 2001, His wife suffered a massive stroke and he spent the next 7+ years caring for her every need with the most unselfish loving heart any man could ever have until her passing. Because of his great love for his wife she was able to live at home with her family the rest of her life after her stroke.
He is survived by his children, Michael (Dawn) Osborne, Gregory (Rhonda) Eversole, Laura (Tim) Brockman, James (Jennifer) Eversole, and Brenda (Jeff) Helton. Grandchildren, Pam (Francisco) Garza, Rebecca (Brad) Grover, Jessica Eversole, Samantha (Stokley) Riffle, Jennifer Osborne, David Osborne, Madison Brockman, Lindsey Victoria (Aaron) Schulte, Hunter Eversole, Savannaha Eversole, and Kylee Stambaugh. Greatgrandchildren Caleb Anderson, Camila and Luna Garza, Zoey Garza, and Amara Riffle. One brother Paul Eversole and one sister Wilma Blevins. Many nieces and nephews and special cousins, Irene Schilling, Russell Eversole, Arley Jean Sizemore, Doris Cheek, Ruth Van Winkle, Boyd Van Winkle, and a very dear and loving companion, Ollie Renner, who was a wonderful blessing to him in the years since his wife passed away. He was preceeded in death by his wife, Shirley, his parents, stepmother Gracie Eversole, son Delbert Osborne Sr., grandson Delbert Osborne Jr., brothers Lawrence Eversole, Robert Eversole, and two infant siblings Thomas Lacey and Mary Magdalen Eversole, who died at birth.
Your passing has left a hole in our hearts that can never be filled until we are with you in heaven. You will be greatly missed and forever loved. But don’t worry, we will be okay. For we know that you have just gone home and this is not goodbye, for we will see you soon. Enjoy that mansion of gold, Dad, we love you so much! Funeral services will be Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 10am at Timberhill Baptist Church, 144 Timberhill Dr. Hamilton, Ohio with Pastor Scott Miller officiating. Burial to follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation on Friday, May 12, 2017 from 5-8pm at the church.
