Ronald Hibbard, age 68 of Sharonville passed away at Mercy Hospital Fairfield on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at 1:45 PM. He was born in Manchester, Kentucky on April 3, 1942 the son of Carlo and Rosa (Rogers) Hibbard. Ronald was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was employed as a laborer at Mosler Safe Company. He was a member of Moose Lodges #501 and #36, Eagles Post #3680 and #3986, Amvets aerie #1983, Odd Fellows, and Monkey Mutual Aid Society #1. On February 25, 1989 in Hamilton he married Aileen Wilson.
He is survived by his wife, Aileen Hibbard of Sharonville; two sons, Ronald (Lynne) Hibbard Jr. of Seven Mile and Regan A. (Jennifer) Hibbard of Hamilton; his mother, Rosa Hibbard of Hamilton; three stepchildren, Debbie (Don) Winkle, Greg (Karen) Foster, both of Sharonville, and Beth (Jim) Kazmaier of Villa Hills, Kentucky; seven brothers, Johnny Hibbard of Hamilton, Everett (Merrill) of Fairfield, Larry (Micki) Hibbard of Colorado, Roy Hibbard of Hamilton, Billy (Karen) Hibbard, Luke (Nancy) Hibbard, both of Fairfield, and Daryl (Tammy) Hibbard of Hamilton; five grandchildren, Tosha, Ryan, Amanda, Emily, and Sydnie; two great-grandchildren, Caitla and Treven; ten step-grandchildren, Shawn, Andy, Chad, JoJo, Chelsea, Casey, Jared, Jack, Colin and Reagan; the mother of his children, Bonnie Sue Knapp of Seven Mile; three special aunts, Ruth Robinson of Hamilton, Berneita Hurley of New Miami, Dorothy Halcome of Fairfield; and his beloved dog, Gus. He was preceded in death by his father and a sister-in-law, LaVonne Hibbard.
Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Monday, September 13, 2010 at 12:00 noon with Ken Nichols, Pastor of Northern Hills Christian Church officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Paula Weisenberger and staff, Dr. Glaser, and the staff at Mercy Fairfield, Floor 3A.
