Ronald Quinn, age 74 of Hamilton passed away at Fort Hamilton Hospice Unit on Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at 8:20 AM. He was born in Hamilton on November 8, 1933 the son of Guido and Pauline (Ballerino) Quinn. Ronald was a veteran of the Korean Conflict with the USAF from 1952 to 1955. He retired from Champion Paper Company in 1995 after 40 years of service. He was a member of St. Peter in Chains Church and the American Legion 138. Ronald was a life member of the Amvets 1983 and the Monkey Mutual Aid Society.
He is survived by two sons, Anthony Quinn of Hamilton and Michael (Nancy) Quinn of Bethel; three grandchildren, Nicholas Quinn of Hamilton, Kevin Quinn and Lauren Quinn, both of Bethel; great-granddaughter, Mya Nichole Quinn; a number of nieces and nephews; and a host of close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Delores (Baker) Quinn; and grandson, Christopher Quinn.
Funeral service will be held at Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Saturday, December 22, 2007 at 11:00 AM with Fr. Timothy Bunch of St. Peter in Chains Church officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Drs. Paula Weisenberger, Kenneth Wehr, Edward Crane and the staff at Fort Hamilton Hospice Unit for all their care and support. In lieu of flowers donations can be directed to the American Cancer Society.
