Ronald G. Waigand Sr.

Ronald G. Waigand Sr., age 86 of Hamilton, passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2017. Ron was born in Butler, Pennsylvania on August 14, 1931 to George and Anne (Mitch) Waigand. Ron earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Commerce from the University of Cincinnati. On July 15, 1961, he married the love of his life, Vi. Ron was an employee at Ford Motor Company, in Sharonville, for 34 years. He enjoyed spending his time hiking, biking, dancing, and traveling.

Ron is survived by his wife of 56 years, Violet Waigand; his children, Ronald "Reggie" Waigand Jr., and his wife Angela, Karen Rush and her husband Doug, and Jim Waigand, and his wife Marcia. Ron was preceded in death by his parents.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church, 224 Dayton St., Hamilton, Ohio, on Friday, September 29, 2017 at 10:00 AM with Fr. Rob Muhlenkamp officiating. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 29, 2017 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church.
