Ronald G. Wallen

Ronald G. Wallen, age 74 of Hamilton passed away at Ft. Hamilton Hospital on Monday, October 5, 2009 at 8:35 AM. He was born in Hamilton on August 27, 1935 the son of George and Marie (Wade) Wallen. Ronald was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict from 1954 to 1958. He was employed in retail at Elder-Beerman and Steinberg’s. Ronald enjoyed traveling and attending sporting events. He was a member of St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church. In 1981 in Hamilton, he married Rita (Moelder) Nordeman.

He is survived by his wife, Rita Wallen of Hamilton; three children, Tari (Bill) Bunch, Larry (Kathy) Wallen, Valerie Breehne, all of Hamilton; two stepsons, Tom (Renel) Nordeman Jr. of Hydesville, California and Daniel Nordeman of Silverton, Ohio; twelve grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church, 382 Liberty Avenue, on Thursday, October 8, 2009 at 11:00 AM with Fr. Timothy Bunch, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church or to National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 4460 Lake Forest Drive, Suite #236, Cincinnati 45242.
