Ronald Lee Wells

Ronald Lee Wells, age 73 of Hamilton passed away at his residence on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at 12:59 AM. He was born in Franklin County, Indiana on November 28, 1935 the son of Lester and Margaret (Vandergriff) Wells. Ronald was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force from 1955 to 1959. He was employed as a police officer for the City of Hamilton for 26 years, retiring in 1988. Ronald was a lifetime member of the NRA, Butler County Sportsman’s Club, and the FOP #38. He was an avid shooter, gun enthusiast, and a member of the Hamilton Police Department Pistol Team and S.W.A.T. Team. On June 18, 1960 in Hamilton, he married Patricia J. Teepen.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia J. Wells of Hamilton; three children, Thea M. (Michael) Jeffries of Hamilton, Jennifer K. (Ronald) Scott of Mason, and Wayne (Jennifer) Wells of Hamilton; six grandchildren, Shelby and Stephen Jeffries, Lee and Lauryn Scott, and Brian and Brooke Wells; a great-grandson, Ashton Jeffries-Jarvis; a sister, Patricia Cornett of Hamilton; and numerous other relatives and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Raymond Wells.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 2550 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Evan Lang and staff, Dr. Gregory Savage, and to Hospice of Cincinnati for all their care and support. The family would like to request that in lieu of flowers donations can be directed to the NRA, American Diabetes Association, or the charity of your choice.
