Ronald H. Alexander Sr., age 66 of Hamilton, transitioned over on Monday, November 14, 2022. Ronald was born in Joliet, Illinois on August 7, 1956 to his loving parents, Rev. Hobert Wendell Alexander and Rev. Ethel Turner Alexander. He was the youngest of four children.
Ronald completed his high school education at Garfield High School. He worked for many years at Champion Paper Company as a fork lift operator and union representative. After many years of service, he retired.
He was a faithful servant to God and was a member of or supported every organization in the church from childhood to the end. In his later years he was an usher and a member of the steward board for over 20 years at St. Phillips CME Church. He supported his church physically, spiritually and financially.
Ronald loved sports and was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers. He would always say “they were the first team that won the Super Bowl” and he would ask his mother to pray that his team would win every game! He coached baseball for children ages 6-12 at Joyce Park. Babe Ruth team from ages 13-15, and Little Blue football team. He not only coached, he was a mentor to these boys. In later years he also enjoyed watching his grandson play baseball.
He loved spending time with his family and friends and he loved going fishing with them. One of his passions was driving and working on sports cars and he loved to hold long conversations.
Ronald was preceded in death by his wife of 26 years, Anita D. Alexander; parents Hobert Wendell and Ethel T. Alexander; his brother, Phillip A. Alexander; aunts and uncles. His memories are cherished by his children Ronald Arias Alexander, Ronald H. Alexander Jr. and Angelica Fikes; his two sisters, Gloria (Stacey) Cole and Wendy (Lacy) Lee; his sister-in-law Linda Maria Alexander; his grandchildren, Macayle Dickson, Julian Alexander, Leah Fikes and Deven Fikes; his love Frances King, that he affectionately called “Baby” she was dedicated to him to the end; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at St. Phillip's CME Church, 1205 Lane Street, Hamilton, Ohio, on Monday, November 21, 2022 at 12:00 PM with Rev. Charles Foggie officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 21, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St. Phillip's CME Church.
