Ronnie Clay McKinney, age 61 of Hamilton, previously of Arlington Heights, passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2019. Ronnie was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on March 24, 1958 to Delbert and Agnes (nee Noe) McKinney. On October 9, 1976, he married his high school sweetheart, Cheryl Lynn Spears. Ronnie was an employee of Graphic Packaging for 40 years. Ronnie dedicated countless hours serving his community coaching youth sports, serving on the Lockland School Board and was a volunteer EMT for Arlington Heights. He was actively involved in the church, most recently serving as a deacon at Commencement Church in Colerain. Ronnie’s greatest joy was his grandchildren, especially sharing his love of Christmas with them.
Ronnie is survived by his wife of 42 years, Cheryl McKinney; his children, Joshua (Melissa) McKinney, Matthew (Amy) McKinney, Michael (Michele) McKinney and Candice (Ryan) Hach; his grandchildren, Grace, Jenna, Timothy, Sawyer, Lincoln, Kylie, Daniel, Jacquelyn, Myla, Owen and another precious baby on the way; his faithful dog, Minnie; his siblings, Barbara (Don) Hoskins and Eddie (Linda) McKinney; and many other family members and friends. Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents; and his sisters, Loretta and Doris Jean.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 4th, 2019 at 9:30am at Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, OH. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2019 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home. In memory of Ronnie, memorial contributions can be made to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
