Rose Francis Burton

Rose Francis Burton, age 84 of Hamilton, passed away at Mercy Hospital on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 3:09PM. She was born in Hamilton on February 28, 1931 to Jeff and Eliza (Henderson) Coffey. Rose was employed at Champion Paper. She was a member of Allison Ave. Baptist Church. Rose enjoyed spending time with her family at Lake Cumberland. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.

She is survived by her children, Linda (fiance David Jones) Bales, Tony (Jenny) Burton, Peggy Johnson, Ronald (Kathy) Burton, James (Paula) Burton, and Ricky Burton, her daughter-in-law, Joann Burton, 24 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, her brother, Ed Coffey, Ft. Myers, FL, many nieces and nephews, and her close family friends, Fred Quick, and Kimberly Pate. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Elmer "Tony" Burton, her son, Randy Burton, her brothers Frank Coffey and James Coffey her sisters, Elveda Kidd, Louise Irvin, and Margaret Goehring, and her parents.

Funeral service will be held at Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 11AM. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
