Rosemary Elizabeth Nieman, age 58 of Hamilton passed away at Fort Hamilton Hospital on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at 10:12 AM. She was born in Hamilton on October 6, 1951 the daughter of Edsel and Dorothy (Bishop) Perkins. Rosemary was a member of "Abate" American Bikers Aimed Toward Education and of Lip Bros. On June 2, 1972 she married Steven Nieman in Jellico, Tennessee.
She is survived by her husband Steven L. Nieman Sr. of Hamilton; two daughters, Shannon (Donald) Lanham and Miranda (Sherman) Martin, both of Hamilton; three grandchildren, Ashlee Lanham of Arkansas, Seth Martin of Hamilton, and Shanda Lanham of Hamilton; one great-grandson, Alexander Wohl of Arkansas; three brothers, David Perkins of Hamilton, Fred (Peggy) Perkins and Bobbie (Billie) Perkins, all of Texas; and five sisters, Tina Perkins, Faye (Jim) Miley, Ruby (Dale) Freeman, Connie Bokeno, and Ruth Bryant, all of Hamilton. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Margie Jones; four brothers, Tommy, Kenny, Danny, and Bill Perkins; and a grandson, Stephen Lanham.
Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Wendell Coning officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
