Roxie Bishop, age 92 of Hamilton, passed away at Fort Hamilton Hospital on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at 6:10AM. She was born in Clay County, Kentucky on April 9, 1921 to Billy and Etta (Nuckols) Williams. On March 19, 1950, she married Adron Bishop.
Roxie is survived by her husband Adron, 10 children, Shirl (John) Settles, Lawney (Joyce) Gilbert, Euvon (Joyce) Gilbert, Danna Olendorf, Phyllis (Alva) Fuson, Tyrone (Kathy) Gilbert, Barry (Kathy) Bishop, Karen (Mike) Luff, Jeff Bishop, and Donna (Donald) Hopper, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, and many relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter Sandra Sue Coda, her parents, one sister, two brothers, and other close relatives.
Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 from 10-11 AM at the funeral home.
