Roy Jones Jr., age 62 of Hamilton passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Tuesday, November 9, 2010. He was born in Hamilton on June 1, 1948 the son of Roy Sr. and Rose (Asciutto) Jones. Roy was a 1967 graduate of Badin High School and was recently employed at Mullaney Pharmacy. He enjoyed fishing, sports, gardening, and woodworking. On September 12, 1969 in St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church, he married Marybeth Braegger.
He is survived by his wife, Marybeth Jones; a son, Steven (Michelle) Jones; two grandchildren, Steven Alexander Jones and Natalie Michelle Jones; a brother, Michael (Cathy) Jones; four sisters, Josephine Seifert, Beverly Bowman, Pamela (Ed) Weaver, and Vicky (Wayne) Wishart; close friend Sandra Ford and family; and several nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, November 12, 2010 at 1:00 PM with Minister Ryan Insprucker officiating. Burial will follow in St. Stephen’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Memorials may be made to Life Span Inc. or to Hospice of Cincinnati.
