Roy W. Price Sr.

Roy W. Price Sr., age 68 of Somerville passed away at his residence on Tuesday, May 6, 2008. He was born in Hamilton on July 16, 1939 the son of William C. and Mary (Nelson) Price. Roy was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and member of Monkey Mutual Aid Society and an avid fisherman. He was a retired mechanic. On May 28, 1961 in Hamilton he married Phoebe A. Meeker; on April 10, 1982 in Hamilton he married Cleo Sowder.

He is survived by his wife, Cleo Price of Somerville; his children, JoAnn Price of West Chester, Deborah (Mark) Lunsford, Mary (Ted) Fields, Margaret (Dale) Turner, all of Hamilton, Roy (Becky) Price Jr. of Moorehead, Kentucky, Rick (Michele) Price of Hamilton, and Donald (Michelle) Price of Batavia; stepdaughters Linda Couch of Somerville, Kay (Robert) Adkins Hamilton, Debbie Bustle, Elaine Bustle, Sheila (Mike Ledger) Neal, all of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky, and Lisa (Greg) Cummins of Somerville; two brothers, Rick L. (Nancy) Price and Larry N. (Fern) Price, both of Hamilton; a sister-in-law, Shirley Price of Hamilton; twenty-nine grandchildren, including special granddaughter Angela (Mullins) Schultheiss of Hamilton; and twenty-three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Daniel C. Price and Charles E. Price; a son-in-law, Raymond Couch; and a grandson, Luther V. Lovell.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Richard Salyer officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
