Roy E. Proffitt

Roy E. Proffitt, age 83 of Fairfield, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Tuesday, October 27, 2026. Roy was born in Hamilton, Ohio on March 19, 1943 to George and Ellen (nee Sergent) Proffitt. Roy proudly served in the United States Army. He retired from Mosler Safe Company after 27 years of service.

Roy is survived by his son, David Proffitt; his brothers, Troy (Donna) Proffitt and Russell (the late Kathleen) Proffitt; and many nieces and nephews. Roy was preceded in death by his parents; his loving companion, Betty J. Tittle; and his siblings, Arthur Proffitt, Martha Hemming, Gracie Goebel and Leonard Proffitt.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio. Funeral service at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Fairfield Place Trustwell Living, 2357 Mack Rd, Fairfield, OH 45014 or to Hospice of Hamilton.
