Roy A. Schul

Roy A. Schul, age 95, of Fairfield passed away at Berkeley Square Retirement Community on Friday, February 25, 2011. He was born in Fairfield Township on February 10, 1916 the son of Martin Luther and Ella (Stormes) Schul. A farmer, Roy was know as the Bicycle Man because he rode 32 miles per day for ten years before he broke his hip in 1994. He then was called the Walking Man. Roy was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

He is survived by two nieces, Nancy and Marge. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Mabel Block; and a niece, Dorothy.

Graveside services will be held at Greenwood Cemetery on Thursday, March 3rd at 2:00 PM with Rev. Robert Klingel officiating
