Ruby Nogle, age 97, passed away Friday, March 8, 2013, at Carolina’s Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. She was born May 7, 1915, to Elva Lorena George Pierson and Clarence Pierson. Ruby married Fenton Nogle on Oct. 10, 1931. Together they loved boating and going to auction sales. Ruby was an active in parent-teacher affairs at Ross High School, Girl Scout Leader and 4-H Leader. She lived in the Hamilton, OH area until May of 2012 when she moved to Waxhaw, NC. Ruby is survived by her grandchildren, Lori VanCaster, James Hoober, Tara Crotty, and Matthew Nogle; and great grandchildren, Christopher VanCaster, Ben VanCaster, Samantha Crotty, and Caden Crotty. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fenton Nogle; one brother, Francis Pierson; daughter, Joy Hoober; and son, Timothy Nogle. Their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren gave Ruby and Fenton the happiest of happy times. Extra blessings in her life were nieces and nephews and their families. She also had great years with her dear friends and students from Buchanan Elementary School and Reily School. Visitation will be 6-8pm, Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at the Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave. Funeral service will be 10am, Wednesday, March 13, 2013, also at the funeral home.
