Ruby Roberts

Ruby Roberts, age 88 of Hamilton, passed away at Westover Retirement Community on Monday, June 4, 2018. Ruby was born in Clay County, Kentucky on July 27, 1929 to John and Elsie (nee Spurlock) Powell. In March 1950, she married Ralph Roberts, who preceded her in death in March 1986. Ruby retired from Westover Retirement Community after many years of service.

Ruby is survived by her children, Joyce (Mike) Bailey, James (Kathy) Roberts, Bonnie (Greg) Hendren, David (Lisa) Roberts, and Danny Roberts; her grandchildren, Lori (Jim) Robinson, Frank (Jennifer) Hendren, Michael (Kathy) Bailey, Shelley Powers, Lisa Bailey, Allison (Gary) Combs, Amanda (Brad) Spahn, Kristie Roberts, Hayden and Dylan Roberts; her great-grandchildren, Zachary, Joey, Tyler, Katie, Austin, Luke, Elijah, Bryce, Skylar, Blake, Baylea, Preston, Pressley, and Claire; her great great-grandchild, Hailey Powell; her sister, Bessie Walker; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph Roberts; her son, Kenny Roberts; her grandson, James; her brothers Eugene, Delmar, Woodrow, John Jr. "Buster", Brook, and Bobby; and her brother in law, Mel Walker.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio, on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 11:30 AM. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2018 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to Alzheimer's Association. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Ruby’s nurse, Hannah for her excellent compassion, support and care.
