Ruth M. Brown

Ruth M. Brown, age 82 of Hamilton, passed away at Woodlands of Hamilton on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at 8:45AM. She was born in Butler County, OH on June 16, 1933 to James and Alice (Phillips) Smith. She was a member of Princeton Pike Church of God. Ruth was an avid tennis player, and also enjoyed playing bridge with her friends; but her ultimate joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren and family. On October 23, 1953 in Hamilton, she married Eldon Brown, and he preceded her in death on July 5, 2015.

She is survived by her two children, Todd (Sheila) Brown, of Hamilton, OH and Lisa (Robert) Nugent, of Lawrence, Kansas; grandchildren, Anna Brown and Emily Brown, Taylor Nugent and Kendell Nugent; four siblings, Rosemary, Shirley, Sarah, and Homer. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son Michael Brown; five siblings.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, April 15, 2016 at 10AM with Rev. Jake Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2016 from 5PM-8PM at the funeral home.
