Ruth Jane Drake

Ruth Jane Drake, age 93 of Hamilton passed away at her residence on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at 9:55 AM. She was born in Cincinnati on August 14, 1916 the daughter of Everett and Bertha (Raw) Miller. Ruth was employed in accounts payable at Champion International Paper for 36 years.

She is survived by a son, Billy (Donna) Wilson of Ft. Pierce, Florida; a daughter, Betty Joan (Allen) Loos of Okeana; a stepdaughter, Paula (Anthony) Ilardo of Goodyear, Arizona; seven grandchildren, Alana (Greg) Bayzath of Cleveland, Ohio, Patricia (Eric) Stirnkorb of Fairfield, Mary Jo (Mike) Wilson of LaBelle, Florida, Diana (Eddie) Sheubrook of Ft. Pierce, Florida, Victoria Wright of Lewisburg, Ohio, and Billy (Theresa) Wilson Jr. of Ft. Pierce, Florida; 15 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; a beloved niece, Shirley (Jack) Gee of Winchester, Oregon; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Corliss Drake; three brothers, Clyde, Clarence, and Raymond Miller; and a sister, Elsa Patterson.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Monday, November 2, 2009 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Jacob Flannery officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
