Ruth E. Mcmullen

Ruth E. McMullen, age 91 of Hamilton, passed away on Friday, August 25, 2017. Ruth was born in Greendale, Indiana on February 15, 1926 to Henry F. Morling and Wilhelmina Steiner Morling. She graduated from Lawrenceburg High School, Lawrenceburg, Indiana in 1944. Ruth was a member of the U.S. Army Cadet Nurse Corps and graduated from The Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1947 as a Registered Nurse. She retired from Butler County Health Department in 1988. Ruth married Stephen A. McMullen Jr., on June 24, 1948 at St. Mary Church, Hamilton, Ohio.

Ruth is survived by her daughter, Stephany A. Carson; son, Stephen A. (Mary Lou) McMullen III; grandchildren, Christopher (Jourdan) Carson, Bethany Carson and Kira Ann Carson; sister-in-law, Marjorie Root; brother-in-law, Rodney (Nan) McMullen and many other relatives. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen A. McMullen Jr., her parents, her brother and sisters.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 1, 2017 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church, 451 Ridgelawn Ave., Hamilton, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church, on Friday, September 1, 2017 at 10:00 AM with Fr. Rob Muhlenkamp officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery.
