Ruth A. Roark

Ruth A. Roark, age 78 of Hamilton, passed away at Bradford Place on Monday, November 30, 2015. She was born in Hamilton on April 17, 1937 to Walter and Irene (Rothe) Gersbach. She was a member of St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church. On September 15, 1978 she married Lowell Roark.

She is survived by her children, Penny (Ron) McIntosh, Missy Roark, and Scott Ross; her stepchildren, Dan (Carolyn), Sheila, Doug, Melissa (Tony), and Scott (Stephanie), 11 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren; her sister, Janet (Gordon) Fox; many nieces and nephews, and special friends, Kate Downie and Claudia Richmond. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell; her brother, Walter Gersbach; her sister, Lois Coning, and her parents. A special thank you to the staff at Bradford Place and Hospice of Cincinnati for their care and support.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church, 224 Dayton St., on Friday, December 4, 2015 at 2PM with Fr. Michael Pucke officiating. Burial will follow at St. Stephens Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 4, 2015 from 12-1:30 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home 1350 Millville Ave. Prayer service will begin at 1:30 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Animal Friends or Hospice of Cincinnati.
