Ruthella "Ruth" Burchfield

Ruthella “Ruth” Burchfield, age 83 of Cincinnati, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, September 4, 2022. Ruth was born in Dykes, Kentucky on December 13, 1938 to the late Gifford and Mary (Sears) Phelps. Ruth was a life-long member of New Haven Missionary Baptist Church of Norwood, Ohio. The light of her beauty could be seen, not just through her sense of style and fashion, but through the love she had for God, her family and her friends.

Ruth is survived by her son, Kenneth (Ronda) Burchfield; her grandchildren, Ken (Cyndi) Burchfield, Amanda (Mike) Lubbers, Billy (Kara) Peace and Angie (Brandon) Begley; her great-grandchildren, Patrick, Alison, Eli, Madison, Jake, Isham, Alexis, Kaley, Raleigh, Oliver, Violette, Morgan and Mikey; her great-great-grandchildren, River and McKaylee; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends.

Ruth was preceded in death her loving husband, Harvey Burchfield; her daughter, Sandra Mains; and her siblings, Fayrene Hargis, Olabee Hargis, Eva Faustine Burton, and Ivan Phelps.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September  9, 2022 from 11:00 AM until the time of her Funeral service at 1:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave., Hamilton, Ohio 45011. Burial will take place at White Lily Church Cemetery in Somerset, Kentucky on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 12:00 NOON.
