Sabbie Louise Grubbs, age 77 of Hamilton, passed away at Butler County Care Facility on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at 03:00PM. She was born in Hazard, KY on December 14, 1935 to Ancil and Martha (Gray) Smith. On December 9, 1957 in Lawrenceburg, IN she married Thomas Grubbs, and he preceded her in death. She was a founding member of Pentecostal House of Prayer.
She is survived by one grandson Douglas Grubbs of Hamilton; great grandchildren, Julia, Miranda, and Douglas Jr.; one sister, Jean (Clay) Mosely; and many nieces, nephews, and other friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Grubbs; her parents; daughter, Joyce Grubbs; two sisters, Betty Noble and Bernice Garrett; two brothers, Roger Smith and Jimmy Smith.
Funeral service will be held at Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Monday, December 2, 2013 at 2PM with Rev. Phillip Grubbs officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 2, 2013 from 1PM-2PM at the funeral home. The family wishes to express a special thank you to Butler County Care Facility.
